Royal Court Rice Cake

Serves: 4
    Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb Korean rice cakes
  • 3.5 oz beef sirloin
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/2 onion
  • 5 fresh Shiitake mushrooms

  • 2 stalks green onion
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 2 tablespoon oil

 
    Seasonings:
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
    Cooking Directions:
  1. Mix seasoning sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Blanch rice cakes in boiling water until they’re soft, then drain.
  3. Cut beef, Shiitake mushrooms, carrot, onion, and green onion into 2 inch pieces. Marinate beef with salt and pepper for 5 min.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, stir-fry carrot first and add beef. When beef is almost cooked, add onion and Shiitake mushrooms.
  5. Add rice cakes, green onion, and seasoning sauce and stir until rice cakes are well seasoned.
