SVP, Supply Chain

Steve Schult is SVP, Supply Chain at Ajinomoto Foods North America, where he is responsible for all supply chain functions including procurement, planning, logistics, operations strategy and customer service. 

Prior to joining AFNA, Schult served as SVP of Global Supply Chain at Blue Diamond Growers, where he led the end-to-end inventory and service execution from orchard to table. 

Schult served on several Federal and State committees on behalf of Blue Diamond, such as the White House Supply Chain Disruption Task Force, U.S. Department of Transportation, and the California Freight Advisory Committee. 

Before Blue Diamond, Schult led the end-to-end supply chain for several mid-scale start-ups and spent ten years with Nestle, leading network optimization for the world’s most extensive frozen direct store delivery system.   

Schult received the Rock Stars of Supply Chain Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 from Food Logistics, recognizing his career-long impact in building resilient, high-performing supply chains.  

He holds a master’s degree in logistics, transportation and supply chain management from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in supply chain and operations management from the University of Phoenix.
