S. Utagawa joined Ajinomoto Foods North America as the Chief Commercial Officer. He has more than 28 years of experience in the frozen food, seasonings, and sweetener business in the Ajinomoto group. S. Utagawa started his career in sales and moved to product marketing and new market development in the frozen food segment. Based on his broad business experience, S. Utagawa has led the sweetener business organization for 3 years and managed the South East Asia Regional HQ as vice president for almost 2 years.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Aoyama Gakuin University and MBA from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy. He speaks Japanese and English and possesses basic communication skills in Thai through his 6 years of working experience in Thailand. Spending 1 year in France for his studies and 1 year in Brazil for work help him partially understand French and Portuguese. He enjoys jogging and watching soccer games.
